I am a regular rice/barley tea drinker, and adding the hatomugicha to my collection allows me subtle variety when I want something slightly more full-bodied. I think it tastes a bit closer to genmaicha than straight mugicha, because something more umami rounds out on the tongue, but there are no green tea leaves. The light roast on the job's tears does not mean a light flavor—this tea is very aromatic and one sachet can be rebrewed all day long. Perfect to warm and fill me up on a cool fall afternoon. I highly recommend!
