Retail/Operations Manager—Full-time

We are seeking a FT retail manager to coordinate and operate our online fulfillment operations, retail showroom and tea tastings. Our approach to tea is akin to specialty coffee or fine wine: we pride ourselves in unparalleled quality not often found outside of origin and are looking for a kind, hospitality-focused team member to elevate our service.

You will play a critical role in ensuring we effectively communicate our origin stories and producers, help customers brew with their existing set-ups at home, and champion the voice of our customers in everything we do. This member will be the champion of world-class hospitality in all customer interactions and will build out our approach to high end service.

We prefer folks with hospitality experience in specialty foods—those in coffee, wine/beer, cheese/chocolate, or fine dining cultures—who are excited to share specialty beverages with discerning customers. We appreciate previous tea experience, but the motivation to learn, passion to work hard and the will to provide outstanding hospitality is our priority.

This role is salaried (40 hours/wk) and includes health benefits and PTO!

  • has experience building out operations and retail functions in a specialty food company

An average Day in the Life of includes:

  • Running our retail showroom—and eventually managing a retail team as we continue to reopen
  • Answering customer questions and providing product recommendations via email, phone, or in-person
  • Coordinating retail-related content with our social media team and product launches with our design / sourcing team
  • Fulfilling online orders
  • Planning / managing inventory
  • Leading virtual + in-person tea tastings

Operations—Part-time

We are looking for part-time help (~10 hours / week) with online fulfillment operations and our San Francisco retail showroom.

We prefer folks with hospitality experience—those in beverage, dining or cafe cultures—who are excited to share specialty beverages with discerning customers. We appreciate the previous tea experience, but the motivation to learn, passion to work hard and the will to provide outstanding hospitality is our priority.

This position's responsibilities includes online order fulfillment and requires meticulous attention to detail. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter who is able to balance their own workload and meet deadlines with superb quality. There is the potential to expand to a hospitality role in our retail showroom and leading tea tastings if desired. Must be available Friday through Sunday.
