Airtight and meticulously hand-turned, this tea canister comes from Gato Mikio, a 3rd generation woodworker specializing in Yamanaka lacquerware. Layers of lacquer are applied and dried in a process that takes up to a year to complete. The result is a seemingly machined container that keeps tea leaves, coffee, and spices fresh and ready for enjoyment. Winner of the Good Design Award in 2010.
