A fragrant, fresh sencha with little astringency and deep umami, this tea hails from our renowned producer in Yame, Fukuoka, Japan. The deep, stewed vegetable notes come from several days of shading the tea plant before harvest, similar to kabusecha.
Tsuyuhikari is an uncommon cultivar crafted from the asatsuyu cultivar—known for a deep umami profile—and shizu7132—known for its cherry blossom-like aroma.
Notes of warmed butter & pampas grass.
From Yame, Fukuoka, Japan.
Includes 36 grams (9 servings).
Our producer also crafts this cultivar as a sumptuous hōjicha crafted with leaves from the year's first harvest. You can find it here.
